I've been very impressed by the quality of answers to my recent question on LinkedIn. My question 'Should you host a Wordpress blog on Wordpress servers or your own servers?' has had about a dozen responses all from credible people. My advice - if you've got a question and don't want to pay a consultant post it on LinkedIn.

This installation of the blog software is intended for testing an alternative to WordPress. Wordpress is incompatible with our software products, and can’t be hosted on the same server. This is because it is a UNIX based application, wheraas iCMS, WebBuildPro, WebDIRECTOR, DMS and TMS are all ASP.NET based.

The alternative we're tryingis: http://www.dotnetblogengine.net/. I’ve not completed a competitive analysis, or even tested the software fully. However, it’s free and can be installed on any of our hosting servers.
